Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director, producer, playwright and educator at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl as well as watching her mother working. As a young kid, she made the rounds in a variety of commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. She eventually settled down to Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. They married at a civil wedding ceremony in was held in December, and then renew their vows during an Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton in April of 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism.
