Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also directed films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Her family was a middle class one located in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. The idea of instilling a love for films in her daughter was something that was a gift from her mother who was also a fan of movies. Paula loved participating in school co-curricular activities, and she was a huge fan of drama. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends as well as participating in school stage performances. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actor decided that acting was her preferred career. She was enrolled in The University of Southern California's summer camp, and loved tremendously. She was given a three month assignment to make documentary films for PBS. When she was successful in completing the task, she began being a production assistant for TV documentaries. She then moved to produce documentaries. Though she loved her job however, she longed for being an actor. Her acting debut came with a small role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Her roles have since been seen in a variety of films and television shows.
