Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish origin. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's parents moved her and their children to Mendocino County California when Ryder was seven years old. In those days, there wasn't electricity. Ryder who loved reading when she was 12, became a bookworm due to the fact that Ryder had no access to television. Ryder started taking acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she turned 12 years old. When she was 15, Ryder landed her first part on screen, in Lucas. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout highschool. She thought that by becoming an actor, her behavior was going to be corrected. However, it didn't occur. However, it didn't stop her from pursuing dreams. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big breakthrough. Ryder continued playing parts that proved successful in several movies. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated for Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
